About Us

About Us

E.P.I.D.E.M.E.K is a dedicated non-profit organization, steadfastly committed to establishing equality and restoring justice for the often overlooked, disadvantaged individuals who grapple with their day-to-day life challenges. We concentrate on creating bridges between ex-offenders, their families, crime victims, and the wider community.

We are firm proponents of the ideology that both pain and healing are communal experiences directly affecting the societal fabric. Embracing the principles of restorative justice, we focus on the specific needs of the offenders and the community involved, diligently working to bring about a positive shift in how justice is perceived and carried out.

At E.P.I.D.E.M.E.K. we mandate the notion that justice isn't solely about holding the offender to account, but it also involves having the judicial system itself responsible to ensure that justice prevails in its purest form.

We employ extensive restorative justice elements to foster transformational change over mere behavior modification. Offenders are made accountable for their actions, aiding them in acknowledging the harm they have inflicted and assisting them in making necessary reparations within their communities.

We are proud to operate in collaboration with The National Civil Rights and Social Justice Speakers Training Bureau, Gladden Community House, and various elementary schools. Our partnerships extend to community outreach programs like Power for Change Ministries and the Welcome Home Foundation.

Our ultimate objective is to develop strategies that cater to all needs of the rehabilitated citizen, thereby curbing any likelihood of reoffending. Our dedicated staff offers a robust support system for rehabilitated individuals, their families, victims, and the broader community that may have been affected by the crime. We serve to assist, educate, and rebuild – supporting our common quest for a cohesive, understanding, and healing community.
